About the Author
Everett Mansur is a passionate film lover. Growing up, his family came together on Friday nights to watch movies together, instilling a love of film and debate about film. As he grew older, he made friends whose love of film inspired him to branch out beyond the blockbusters and family films of his childhood movie nights, introducing him to the world of “cinema”.
Throughout recent years, he has seen the constant debate between the “casual” fans of blockbusters and self-proclaimed “cinephiles” about which films are best. Friends in both camps inspired Everett to look at the numbers (critic ratings, fan ratings, awards, and box office numbers) to try and settle the debate as objectively as possible.
This exploration of film content led to the development of a list of the Greatest Films of All Time. He hopes by sharing this list to help both casual movie viewers and cinephiles expand their film appreciation and viewing options. Not all films are made for all audiences, but all films have a target audience that is usually wider than its viewership might indicate. This site is to help the films reach more of their audiences.
